Sales & Business Development – Kent & Surrey - c£40,000 + Uncapped Commission

We’re looking for an ambitious and motivated Sales/Business Development expert to join our client’s dynamic, forward-thinking team. In this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead efforts to grow the business by driving revenue and promoting cutting-edge, fire and smoke protection, chillers, air conditioning, and ventilation services.
As a key player in our client’s growth, you’ll have the autonomy to identify and secure new opportunities, working closely with potential clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored, innovative solutions. Responsibilities:
- Actively prospect and identify potential clients within various sectors.
- Develop rapport and establish strong relationships with decision-makers.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and challenges.
- Effectively present services and demonstrate their value to potential clients.
- Negotiate and close sales, ensuring profitable outcomes for the company.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with key accounts to foster repeat business.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., technical, operations) to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities and client interactions on the in-house CRM system
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a direct sales role, preferably within the building services or facilities management industry.
- A basic understanding of fire and smoke systems, chillers, air conditioning, and ventilation services is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently and persuasively.
- A natural ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- A driven and self-motivated individual with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- A collaborative and supportive team member who contributes to a positive work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Full driving licence is essential for client visits and site surveys
