Are you a talented and motivated Employment Law Solicitor looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-respected firm in the heart of London City, is seeking a qualified solicitor with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their dynamic team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious legal professional to grow within a supportive and innovative environment, while handling a diverse and exciting caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a varied caseload of employment law matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancy processes, TUPE transfers, discrimination claims, and employment tribunal cases.
• Provide expert legal advice to both employers and employees on employment rights, contracts, workplace policies, and risk management strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies.
• Represent clients in employment tribunals and support alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and negotiation.
• Deliver tailored, practical legal solutions that align with clients’ objectives.
• Contribute to the firm’s business development by building strong client relationships and networking.
• Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.
• Stay abreast of developments in employment law, ensuring that clients receive the most up-to-date advice.
Key Skills and Experience:
• 2-4 years of PQE in Employment Law, with a proven track record of handling tribunal claims, TUPE, redundancy processes, and discrimination cases.
• Strong technical knowledge of employment law and the ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
• Excellent client care and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for clients.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with tribunal experience being a significant advantage.
• A proactive and commercially aware approach to business development.
• Solid IT skills and familiarity with case management systems.
• A flexible, solutions-focused approach, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
