Job Overview
My client, a prestigious Top 100 law firm, is seeking an Administration Assistant to join their highly regarded Trust & Tax Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work model (2 days in the office, 3 days remote). The successful candidate will provide vital administrative support for trusts, particularly those benefiting disabled individuals, and will work closely with trustees, beneficiaries, and other professional advisers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with trustees, beneficiaries, case managers, carers, families, and professional advisers to ensure the smooth management of trusts
- Handle day-to-day communications, preparing attendance notes for telephone calls and correspondence
- Process trustee decisions, document preparation, and assist with bank account management, cash flow, and payments
- Maintain detailed financial records and assist with the preparation of income/expenditure budgets
- Support welfare benefit claims, grant applications, and tax return preparation
- Manage diaries, organize client meetings, and ensure effective file management and documentation
- Provide general support to the Trust & Tax Management team, ensuring smooth operations across various tasks
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel ; experience with Practice Management Systems is highly beneficial
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines while keeping an organized and conscientious approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with vulnerable beneficiaries and families in sensitive situations
- Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and maintain attention to detail
- Interest in legal matters, with a clear understanding of confidentiality
